Chris Janusitis - Christmas at Home Pioneer
Chris has lived in the Durham Region for over 20 years, working for
Rogers TV during that time.
In those two decades, he has had an opportunity to support and work with many community projects;
raising awareness and funds for a variety of groups.
Most recently he has been volunteering for Heritage Oshawa (10 Years) and Doors Open Oshawa (7 years).
This is due to his keen interest in preserving Durham Region's built heritage, and a love for architecture and cultural spaces.
He is also an advocate for preserving, supporting and promoting Durham Region's military history -
and show support for our modern day military and its soldiers.
He is a great supporter of the United Way in Durham Region, and has been team captain for the Rogers TV Hockey team
which plays in the Hockey for Heart Tournament supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
You can also find him playing recreational hockey on Wednesday nights at Ice Sports in Oshawa.
And of course he spends much of his time helping to organize, support and promote the Christmas At Home concert series.
